Hey, Hey It's the Monkees!
Neil Kesterson of Dynamix
Productions produced the soundtrack for this
documentary, while Darren Platt of Post Time Productions edited
the program. Presented in HD, the soundtrack
presented unique challenges because of the many
vintage film clips from the show, as well as
interview clips from the 1960's. Of course there's
the music. One interesting music clip is the
original theme song recorded for the pilot
episode. It featured Bobby Hart and Tommy Boyce,
the main composers for the series, in the lead
singing roles in a much slower tempo recording.
