Book on Tape Receives More National Honors

Becoming What You Want to See in the World (River Birch Publishing) by Louisville native and Lexington resident, Mary Claire O’Neal, received awards and honors from the 2007 National Best Books Awards (BBA). The new audio-book version (published Aug, 2007) of the paperback (2006) won honors in three different non-fiction categories.

In addition to those honors, the audio book has been selected as an Award Finalist for Audio Book Nonfiction from ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Awards. Winners will be selected and announced at Book Expo America in Los Angeles at the end of May 2008.

In 2007, the print and audio book titles were also awarded the Indie Excellence 2007 Book Awards, which honors outstanding books by independent publishers across the nation.

The Audio Book was recorded and produced at Dynamix Productions by Neil Kesterson.

Becoming What You Want to See in the World by Lexington author, Mary Claire O’Neal, was the Winner Audio Book Non-Fiction (recorded at Dynamix Productions), and the print version was named as an Award-Winning Finalist in the category of Social Change.

O’Neal, an internationally known author, speaker, and consultant, has been working with individuals, corporations, educational and service organizations in personal and professional development for over 15 years through workshops and consulting in effective communication, joyful living and life balance. Her diverse work experience includes mental health educator, Equity actor/director, and business owner. In 2006, O’Neal received an individual artist grant in the category of creative non-fiction from the Kentucky Arts Council. For more information:
